Warning, warning, warning.

The sun is lower in the sky. Setting earlier. So much to do and so little time in which to do it. Soon enough winter will ease in.

Today's theme is the Addams Family. I proffer our living plants that produce dead flowers. The Living Dead plant. No weed sprays or anything. It's just how they do. The flowers are yellow and then the whole bud turns black.

Serenity Now.
An important part of our health plan. Imagine how difficulties fall away while we sit here and plan to take over the world. Stress used to fall away but three or four years ago the stress ran out.

Planet Green

Magic Dirt

We are fortunate to have a layer of magic rock dirt from the foot of the mountain to the creek (arroyo) about 4 feet deep. Made of disintegrated, decomposed rock and traces of other stuff. Clean and easy to dig and drill. Falls off your feet or footwear, sorta like beach sand. When dry its a little powdery. When dry and packed down it rings when lightly stomped on. It is kind of rose colored or...
I'm thinking of doing an amalgamation of rammed earF walls with posts or columns of mortared rock. Just rearranging the dirt and rocks. And please,,, whatever you do, don't try this at home. And be carefull of looking it up on G. images or youtube. I just did and almost forgot to come back to finish this post. Ops I just did it again. 'rammed earth walls' on Gooogle images. They are the most beautiful walls I've ever seen.

Now I know the future! And it's real primitive.
Here is a sample of what others have done.

Don't get me started!

FILLING THE MOAT

The end of our desert rainy season. And the end of the day at SkyCastle. The rain falls like diamonds and the creek begins to fill, but couldn't make it much further than this, this time. More rain this weekend and I may be able to get a video of it filling faster. Sometimes it's quite dramatic but the timing can be tricky to get it on video.

Poopies

The dogs. Casper sawing logs. It's hilarious to hear him snore. He sleeps on his back in the summer so he can dissipate British Thermal Units. And then there is Zoe. So sweet, and full of energy. But always ready! For anything. She'd dig a hole to China for a bone. She scares me to death sometimes. I don't know how she survives some of her escapades. She's made out of silly putty and covered with cool. Also astonishing is to see them shake and all the dirt falls off of them. An excellent comedy team.

Time Is Short!
The sun ebbs away at SkyCastle and long darkness settles in.
Training With Casper. Watch as Casper demonstrates the proper way to guard SkyCastle. He's good at crossing the "road" and chasing trucks.

Sticking it to the MAN!
In our effort to ah,,,live green,,,Wretha started putting the left over bottom root parts of green onions into jars of water and re-growing them in the window. We B stickin'it to the man!

Next year I'll plant carrots in our garden and see how that works.

Call Me,,, Out of Touch

I was self employed for many years.
Worked a lot of the time but was on call all the time.
I fired myself and became Baron of SkyCastle and these days I'm only--
Anyone calling for the past six years, please forgive the busy signal.
                          BUSY!

This is one of the many intersections of the creek and our street. I'm landscaping the median (pulling sand burs) while Casper directs all the traffic. Vehicles straight ahead and all water veer to the left. Telephone conversations up and to the right.

When I'm done I may straighten up the rocks so they don't interfere with the street sweeper.

Or about one mile as the crow flies.
